Molofsky Lab Social Events AND PICS:

Molofsky Lab NEWS:

2023-10-27: Welcome to our newest lab member Abram Rodriguez, a research associate working with Dr. Dean Merrill in skin immunology. Also welcome to Pailin Chiaranunt, a new post-doc in Anna Molofsky’s lab who will be working closely with our group in neuroimmunology, and to Jess Roginsky, a visiting graduate student from the Kaech lab at UCSD collaborating with us in neuroimmunology. So excited for the new and amazing folks in the group!

2023-02-16: It’s been a year, many new good things and some changes in the group. Congratulations to Dr. Kelly Cautivo, our former postdoctoral fellow, in her new position at Gilead in the Bay Area (01/2023). And to our former research fellow Dr. Julia Sbierski-Kind as she begins her research group in Germany! We also welcome Elina Wells as a new research associate in our group in the fall of 2022.

2022-02-16: Congratulations to Dr. Kelly Cautivo for her beautiful story in Immunity published in February 2022. Also highlighted with a cover image! Excited to keep working on ILC2s in the meninges during development and damage (NINDS) and the crosstalk of ILC2s and IFNg+ type 1 lymphocytes during ‘mixed inflammation’ (NIAID).

2022-01-05: A belated Happy New Year to all! In good news, we congratulate Nick Mroz on getting a great score e for his T31 Training Grant and the lab for two fundable scores on R01 grants! Also a well-earned congrats for Kelly Cautivo Reyes, whose paper is accepted and will be published in late January (keep your eyes open!) Looking forward to an amazing 2022 with our incredible team.

2021-10-18: The lab has had some well-earned turnover. Congratulations to Drs. Julia Sbierski-Kind and Madelene Dahlgren who have returned to Germany and Sweden respectively to transition into their independent groups! Congrats to Peri Matatia for starting Immunology Grad School at Harvard. We welcome to the group two new clinics research fellows, a post-doctoral fellow, and two new grad students. Read all about them in the Lab Members section!

2020-04-21: Sadly, and similar to the rest of the world, we are all working from home, planning, writing, and reading (but not doing experiments). We are looking forward to a safe and measured return to experimenting as the pandemic is controlled and a (hopefully) a vaccine developed. In the meantime, on with virtual lab meetings and journal clubs!

2019-06-18: Updates after many new and good things. Very happy to welcome several new members to our group: Julia Sbierski-Kind (post-doctoral fellow/endocrine fellow), Marcela Taruselli (post-doctoral fellow), Catherine Steer (post-doctoral fellow), Nick Mroz (graduate student), and Peri Matatia (Staff research associate). Can’t wait to start cranking on the good science with our expanded team. We are also sad (but happy) to see Jorge (Jay) Ortiz-Carpena off to grad school at Penn and Alexander Dubinin off to medical school at UCSD. Ya’ll rock, we wish you much love and success.

2019-02-26: So excited that our work on ILC2 niches is published online in Immunity. Congratulations to our co-first authors Madelene Dalhgren and Stephen Jones, to the rest of the lab for hard work on various portions of the story, and our excellent collaborators in Max Krummel, Tien Peng, Anna Molofsky, and Aaron Twaard. Onwards!
